At Brightwaters Christian College, students are encouraged to participate in a wide variety of sports and physical activities individually, in team sports and at a representative level.

BCC is affiliated with Christian Schools Sports Association (CSSA) as well as with Combined Independent Schools (CIS) Sports Association. These affiliations allow students to compete at a Zone, State and National level in a wide range of individual and team sports against other Christian and Independent schools. We are a member of the Taree, Hunter and Central Coast (THACCCSA) Zone, and are able to participate in competitions against other schools in the zone. If successful at a zone level, students can follow pathways where they compete against other Christian and Independent Schools in NSW and if successful, NSW All Schools. If students continue to be highly successful in their chosen sport, they may have the opportunity to represent at a National level.

Above all, students are encouraged to develop and use their gifts in sport to honour Christ, the giver of all gifts, in the way they play with and against others. Students are encouraged to always do their best.

Sports that BCC students are engaged in, or have competed in, include:

Cross Country

Sports Leadership Opportunities:

The BCC Leadership Team offers our senior students the opportunity to assist with enhancing other student’s experiences of sport. They assist with training for Sport Carnivals, as well as organising and facilitating other training events during lunchtimes. Being a member of the Leadership Team is a great opportunity for our senior students to develop leadership skills as they have hands on experience with planning, organising, coaching, managing and running various sporting activities.
